Everyone is invited to fly our simulator. There is no limit to the number of hours you can use the training device for the purpose of increasing skill and experience. However, hours logged in a training device for the purposes of meeting the requirements for an FAA certificate, rating or flight review must be dual flight training given by an instructor. And, the maximum number of hours in a training device which can be used to meet the minimum requitrements of the certificate or rating is as follows:
Part 61
- Private: 2.5 out of 40 hours flight time [61.109 & 61.109 (i) (1)]
- Instrument: 20 out of 40 hours instrument time [61.65 (d) (2) & 61.65 (e) (2)]
