HOW TO TRANSITION AFTER JANUARY 31, 2007
Ultralight pilots registered with an FAA-recognized ultralight org (USUA, USHGA, ASC or EAA), may apply ultralight flight hours to meet eligibility requirements of FAR Part 61.309, 61.311
and 61.313:
- Provide a copy of your ultralight records
- Receive and log ground training; pass the sport pilot knowledge exam
- Receive and log at least 3 hours flight training; pass the practical exam
