With our safe, fun and easy learning environment, you can begin an aviation career as a Sport Pilot and advance into complex and multi engine aircraft, or just enjoy flying with
friends and family as a Sport Pilot. There are no restrictions on how far you can fly as a FAA certificated Sport Pilot at Aero-Tech.
After graduation, you'll have a
skill to last a lifetime and the freedom to go places that most people only dream about. Go to the beach or go to grandmas. Expand your weekend playground!
Looking for ways to help pay for your flying? Become a Sport Pilot Instructor without having an instrument rating or a commercial pilot certificate. If
you are a certificated Sport Pilot or a Private Pilot with a gift for teaching and a passion for flying, Aero-Tech can make you a Sport Pilot Instructor.

Course Outline- The Making of a Sport Pilot
2 weeks can learn you a skill that will change your life. If you really love it, you can use your Aero-Tech Sport Pilot training and hours as prerequisite towards additional
FAA certificates and ratings to enhance your skills in the future. No restrictions.
Your training is organized and efficient in a Part 141, FAA Approved Course – the only FAA Approved Course for Sport Pilot training that we know of! Minimum training
requirements to be eligible for certification is 20 hours. But we don't like to rush things. We give you a flight budget of 25 hours so you can relax and enjoy the training. We want
you to learn thoroughly to be a proficient and safe pilot. But you only pay for what you actually use.
First Day: A little paperwork and then the adventure begins. Your training
experience starts with a fun and lively pre-flight briefing before being introduced to your training aircraft. Most customers will fly two flights each day, but if you really love it, we may do
more. Between flights you'll begin studying the Pilots Operating Handbook and materials to help you breeze through the FAA Knowledge exam. You'll return to the motel with homework –
but it won't really seem like work.
Block I Work with your instructor team to learn basic skills in realistic,
scenario-based, lesson plans. You'll also get comfortable talking to Air Traffic Control while flying in a variety of airspace and airports.
Block II You're already beginning to feel like a pilot. You
talk-the-talk around the lobby. You apply the concepts of GPS, regulations and weather in the cockpit. Earn a Class C and Class D endorsement and over 97 KIAS endorsement. You'll be
flying solo soon!
Block III It's time to see the real utility of the airplane, navigating to
beautiful airports around the Blue Grass state. You'll also complete the FAA Knowledge Exam in our convenient, in-house FAA Knowledge Testing facility.
Graduation If you've worked hard and completed all the tasks your
instructor team assigned, then you'll be walking, talking and feeling like a pilot by now. A little more paperwork and you'll meet the FAA pilot
examiner. Our in-house FAA Sport Pilot Examiner is thorough but gentle – just the way you'd want it.
