Full biographies of each Training Center Instructor are published online because they
provide instruction in customer-owned aircraft. The customer's insurance underwriters require our specifics.
Arlynn began her love of aviation as a youngster. She soloed on her 16th birthday. Since that time her feet have rarely
been on the ground. Arlynn is a graduate of Aero-Tech in the 1970's and joined Aero-Tech as an instructor in 1984. She is also a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University.
Today she serves as Aero-Tech's Vice President and Training Centers Manager,
responsible for all pilot training and flight activities. Under her close supervision, Aero-Tech has maintained an excellent safety and accident record - a testament to her
personal safety standards. In 2001, '02, '03 and again in '04, Phoenix Aviation Managers awarded Aero-Tech their Excellence in Aviation Safety Award.
Arlynn is an active Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot as well as an active FAA Gold Seal CFI. She is recognized by the National Association of Flight Instructors as
a NAFI Master Instructor. and is a Cessna Factory FITS Authorized Instructor (CFAI). Her 11,000 accident-free, incident-free violation-free hours range in a variety of Piper,
Cessna, and Beech single and cabin-class multis. She has piloted aircraft for: banner tow, aerial traffic, fire patrol, maintenance-ferry pilot and instructor pilot. She served
as Aero-Tech's Air-Taxi line pilot from 1981 to 1997 and as 135 Chief Pilot/Director of Operations from 1981 to 1995 for CE414 & BE58. Arlynn has enjoyed flying as PIC in
Alaska, Canada, throughout the Caribbean, Central America and in each of the 48 Contiguous States in general aviation aircraft.
A flight instructor since 1980, she has logged over 7,000 hours of dual given. She is an active FAA Accident Prevention Counselor and was the 1991 FAA Regional
Flight Instructor of the Year. Arlynn specializes in teaching Aeronautical Decision-Making and Cockpit-Risk Management to the aircraft owner/non-professional pilot.
She is a guest speaker at many aviation safety seminars and functions. She arranges regular Adventure Vacations - real cross-country training flights to facilitate Aero
-Tech's unique approach to training. Arlynn has won many awards, distinctions and recognition in and out of the aviation industry. She is also licensed by the U.S. Coast
Guard as a OUPV, boat captain.
Arlynn is proficient in Technically Advanced Aircraft and Avionics (TAA). She has
written our LOFT scenarios and has been the person responsible for Aero-Tech courses being accepted as FAA/Industry Training Standards.
